New Home Repair Help for Low-Income Seniors

FavoriteLoadingAdd to favorites

There’s a new partnership in Savannah that’s making home repairs for low-income seniors.

The City of Savannah joined non-profit organization Community Help for the new project, which started Monday.

85-year-old Lucy Grant was the first senior to receive this help, getting a check for two thousand dollars.

Bernie Polite, President of Community Help, Inc., shares, “There are folks in our community who have the resources and they are the ones who are sharing those resources and community help serves as a conduit to be able to direct their efforts.”

Seniors needing help with home repairs can contact Community Help to apply for a grant at 912-651-6517.
