Learn the basics of home repair for free at one of Jubilee Homes’ two upcoming Home Maintenance and Repair Program workshops, held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, and Wednesday, Aug. 11.

Classes held at the Sidney Johnson Vocational Center, 573 E. Genesee St., will include an introduction to tools, instruction on building and repairing a wall, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, tiling and more.

Free child care and food is provided, as well as a Lowe’s gift card for completing a session. The classes are sponsored by the Syracuse City School District and M&T Bank.
