tales of do-it-yourself adventures for a chance to win $5,000 worth of GE
home appliances. PartSelect.com is searching for the most entertaining,
astonishing, and empowering DIY stories, and will award one randomly
selected participant the ultimate grand prize of a $5,000 home appliance
makeover.

“This contest was inspired by our customers”

PartSelect.com’s blogging contest begins on Oct. 27, and participants
will have two months to enter. To qualify, participants must publish a
blog post of 300 words or more that addresses one of these five topics:

• What is your proudest creation or most empowering DIY moment?
• Tell us about your worst DIY disaster.
• What is the coolest thing you upcycled or repurposed in your home?
• Share your best “if my appliance could talk” story.
• What is the most innovative solution you have implemented to solve a
  home-related conundrum?

“This contest was inspired by our customers,” says Steve Ash, Service
Director for PartSelect.com. “The do-it-yourselfers who visit our site
often share amusing anecdotes or success stories about how they solved a
particularly challenging appliance problem. We decided to extend the
opportunity to the entire DIY community in the hopes that their stories
will encourage and empower others to take on do-it-yourself repairs as
well.”

Eligibility requirements

All participants must be U.S. citizens and 18 years of age or older. To
enter, contestants must share on their personal blog a unique narrative
of at least 300 words that addresses one of the aforementioned topics.
To complete the entry, bloggers must send the URL of the post to Contests@PartSelect.com.

One entry will be accepted per blog domain. All entries must be received
before 11:59 p.m. EST on Dec. 30. One winner will be selected at random
and notified within seven days of the close of the contest period. For full
