TULSA – Tulsa police say a home repair scammer is in custody after being arrested in another state.
Police asked the public for help Thursday in locating Dusty Joles who was wanted in connection with home repair schemes targeting the elderly.
Police say Joles would claim to be the son of the victims’ roofer and would say he could fix damages still under warranty.
Joles would have his victims write checks payable to him and also would steal cash from inside the victims’ homes.
Joles was arrested in Little Rock July 26 for outstanding warrants but bonded out. Police believed he was en route to Tulsa.
Joles was arrested this morning in Arkansas and is being detained in the Pulaski County Jail awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.
