Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) — A mobile home near downtown was destroyed and a nearby business was damaged in a fire that started at about 11:02 Monday night.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to Max Auto Repair in the 800 block of North Main Street after someone reported that a mobile home behind the business was on fire.

When firefighters arrived, the fire was spreading to the large auto repair shop which contained vehicles parked inside for repairs.

A second alarm was issued and a total of 23 units and 55 firefighters responded.

The fire was under control in less than ten minutes. The mobile home was destroyed and the fire damaged the roof and the exterior of the auto body shop. A van parked outside in the lot was also damaged by heat from the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage is estimated at about $50,000.
