Lance Ronnie Boswell, 27, of Tulsa and Andy Herrin, 54, whose address is listed in Latrobe, Pa., were arrested near 1900 S. Knoxville Ave. at 9:32 a.m., according to a Tulsa Police Department release.
A patrol officer recognized a silver Toyota Tundra as a pickup associated with previous home repair scams and spoke with the 79-year-old homeowner, police said.
The homeowner told police the men defrauded him of at least $27,000 between January 2010 and December 2011. He also told police he was “confused as to what or even if repairs had to be done,” according to Boswell’s arrest report.
Boswell and Herrin are being held on single home repair fraud complaints at Tulsa Jail. Boswell is being held without bond and Herrin’s bail is set at $2,000.
Boswell was charged in July with exploitation of an elderly person or disabled adult in Oklahoma County. He also has three pending fraud charges in Tulsa County filed in October. A home repair fraud case filed against Boswell in Leflore County was dismissed in Dec. 2010.
A Fort Wayne, Ind., television station reported Andy Herrin was accused of involvement in a lightning rod scam in LaGrange County, Ind., in April 2010.
