    if its unsafe..maybe this one

there might not be any GOVERNMENT agencies, but possibly charity agencies…no one can no every single agency in every single area.

States have a weatherization program–so if the repairs are related to heating, there is an agency for that

There aren’t any agencies but if you call the welfare office they might know of a local group they can refer you to. Try calling Habitat for Humanity also.

Not likely any government agencies. However there is always the possibility of it in certain states. Often states have programs and agencies that do not get promoted, and are not well known. Also sometimes local high school/college kids will do it, or even if a local college has a department in that field, they will do it for the experience. .

Sometimes even local contractors will do it free, especially off season, and local suppliers will donate materials. Makes for great public publicity. Contact your state Dept of Human Services and they can often point you in the right direction.

If nothing else, contact a local TV station. They love that stuff for ratings. Usually it will generate all kinds of donations and physical help.

Sometimes there are city or county agencies that have programs that can help low income families with home repairs. If not, some church groups, or independent programs, may be able to help. Sometimes you just have to keep calling around to find them though.
