However, it is a serious business in America, proving to be highly rewarding and pride-invoking to the individual, and lucrative for the suppliers. There are many reasons why folks decide to do their home repairs themselves. For many, the financial struggles of the current economy make it necessary for them to take the project on. Sometimes, it is simply more cost-effective for the individual to repair, say, a burst pipe, than to call in a plumber.
